Avert Society is a USAID funded Registered Society
launched to intervene the spread of HIV/AIDS in Maharashtra State.
Applications are invited for the following position. Remuneration will
be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
CARE & SUPPORT / STI SPECIALIST:
The Care and Support Specialist will be
responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluating
projects, developing training program modules for Community
Mobilization, Care & Support and STI Management.
The Care & Support/ STI Specialist will
coordinate with all stakeholders, build linkages with various other
institutions, partners and service providers in the state. He/She will
be responsible for managing the network of NGOs, CBOs and Institutions.
The candidate will supervise a team of staff. The candidate should be
willing to undertake travel to the Districts.
The ideal candidate will have a Post Graduate
Degree in Public Health (MD-PSM or MPH) or Social Sciences or Social
Work or Management or equivalent with 4-6 years of experience in
managing social development or health programs and preferably in the
field of HIV/AIDS. Experience of working with international
organizations and knowledge of Marathi is preferred.
