The Strategic Objective of the project is
to increase use of effective and sustainable responses to
reduce the transmission and mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS/STD
and related infectious diseases in Maharashtra.
The overall goal of the project is to support
the Government of India to reduce the negative impact of the
HIV/AIDS epidemic on the social, economic and human development
in India. This is in accordance with the NACP-II dual goals
of reducing the spread of HIV infection in the country and
strengthening the country's response on a long-term basis.
