Capacity Building
Capacity Building Strategy for Avert Society
Capacity Building is one of the five strategies
of the Avert Society and is a cross cutting strategy which
encompasses the other strategies mainly Targeted Intervention,
Work Place Intervention and Care and Support. Under this strategy
strengthening institutional and individual capacities to respond
to HIV/AIDS is the backbone of the Avert Project. In all project
components, ranging from services delivery to research and
communication, the project will build local capacities so
that the state response continues after phasing out of the
project. Partners for capacity building are state and municipal
organizations, NGOs; community groups (including PLWHA's
self help groups and collectives); health and social workers
